Growing up in a family of musicians and garage bands there was always a need for a sound system.  I already had to carry my drums to the gig so why not haul speakers too.  I accumulated a good amount of gear so I started my first DJ service in Jr. High School.  By the end of High School my after school job was A1 for the local NBC affiliate's nightly news broadcasts.  I left Abilene to pursue my interest in sound at South Plains College where I earned a degree in recording.  The day I graduated I started working for a regional touring sound company in Lubbock TX . I spent almost 4 years with Electric Ear Productions cutting my teeth and learning life on the road before finding a "desk job" in the industry.  Shortly after I began designing and installing systems I was shipped up to Dallas to manage a 30 classroom install contract for EDS.  After 11 years in Dallas I am still in the audio design world with a focus on auditoriums and corporate boardrooms.  In 2004 I received national press for a church sound system I designed in North Carolina. At the close of 2004 I started Soundguy Productions as an avenue to get me back in the mixing world. 

From the beginning I dedicated the entire venture to artists and organizations that Love God.. It is great to choose the gigs I want and I continue to freelance as an engineer for TV broadcasts and concerts.  I have a beautiful family(4 kids and a wife) and God blessed me with a Harley....   my harley testimony
